ENVIRONMENTAL RISK ASSESSMENT AND REMADIATION

Ferrovie Sud-Est (FSE) is a rail operator connecting the city of Bari to the south-east part of the Apulia region. Its rail network runs for more than 295 miles and represents the second most large domestic network. The FSE rail fleet is equipped with diesel locomotives whose maintenance, repair and supply are operate at the FSE parking garage located inside the urban area. Due to the locomotive supply operations carried out for more than fifty years, it is thought that a certain amount of oils was released on the ground. Cotecchia was appointed to define a short-term emergency remediation and a risk assessment oriented to a finally environmental remediation.
