CHARACTERIZAZION FOR ASBESTOS CONTAMINATION

Fibronit srl has been an important asbestos-cement manufacturer for more than fifty years (1934 – 1985). During this time, huge amount of asbestos processing waste were buried in several points within the plant perimeter which today results fully surrounded by the urban area. Cotecchia was appointed to carry out a site investigation campaign aimed to define the level of underground pollution as well as survey and quantify the asbestos waste in order to identify the preliminary design aspects for a remediation project.
