FLOOD RISK MITIGATION – NEW CASARINELLI DRAIN

San Marco in Lamis is located inside a former old river nowadays mainly closed. The Casarinelli channel is one of the old flowing channel of the old river which begins just behind the public cemetery of the town, within an area classified as high flood risk area. Cotecchia & Associates has been designer of flood risk mitigation structures as a new adjusted channel section of the Casarinelli part which runs below the cemetery area and of a water intake vessel located just on the upstream side of the channel.
