‘FONDOVALLE – SELE’ HIGHWAY

The ‘Fondovalle – Sele’ highway is an interchange by-pass between the A3 Motorway and the highways S.S. 7 “Ofantina”. Among the several designed structures and infrastructures relevance had the design of the Lioni junction. The project consisted of two main parts: i) accomplishment of about 8km road system and ii) slope stabilization of the river side. Within the slope stabilization works, the main structure was the design of an hydraulic tunnel to drain water from top slope directly to the valley bottom. Cotecchia has been appointed as main designer and construction supervision.
