UNDERGROUNG CAR PARKING – GIULIO CESARE SQUARE
The city of Bari is the chief town of the Apulia region as well as one of the main city of the South Italy. As per many big cities, the urban area is day-by-day experiencing a high demand of car parks, that is a high level of urban and traffic congestion. To overcome the problem, three underground parking areas were studied for the city of Bari. One of these is the underground car parking located beneath the Giulio Cesare piazza. The car parking covers an overall surface of around 16.675m2 developing on three levels below ground level with a basement located at depth of 13m. Cotecchia was in charge as geotechnical and structural designer.
